New York Fashion Week 2013 Favorites

How exciting was this year's New York Fashion Week?!  Dozens and dozens of incredibly talented designers whom never cease to stun us with their jaw dropping collections have gotten us excited with the fall's hottest fashions yet! It's hard to choose a favorite designer amongst so many different looks and themes but I had to narrow it down to my faovrite

PFH

designers who make it a little more easy for us to find fashion forward evening and casual wear that doesn't reveal too much skin.

Drumb roll please.......... and the winners are:

Diane Von Furstenberg

for casual wear and my two favorites for evening wear are

Carmen Marc Valvo

&

Naeem Khan!

(and for the record Tadashi Shoji and Monique Lhuillier were definitely my runner ups).

DVF: Classy and Feminine.

I really think that I will never stop loving DVF. Collection after collection, she’s not just one of my favorite designers but she’s also one of the most PFH designers. Her collections exude femininity and elegance. I love the way each piece flows on the body and so many of her pieces are long sleeves and modest. I usually wear her to the knee dresses with skinny jeans or boots underneath.

DVF takes risks with her prints and somewhat edginess. She went all out with matching printed tops, trousers, and jumpsuits.  Her long and fluid silhouettes and her signature all-flattering wrap dresses with a modern twist are timeless. What I love most about DVF is she has dresses for

every

type of woman.

2) Carmen Marc Valvo: Edgy and Cosmopolitan.

Carmen knows how to bring glamour to a woman’s life and body. His gowns beautifully shape women of different physiques and sizes. His new collection was inspired by Edgar Allen Poe with a spice of edge to it.

(this particular gown is from his Spring 2013 collection - stunning!)

3) Naeem Khan: Bold & Beautiful.

No color is off limits with this designer. Metallic shimmery confections were definitely his main theme for evening wear throughout the Fall 2013 collection.  Rich fabric with opulent detail, sequenced long sleeve gowns with Byzantine style embroidery, high necklines, elegant kaftans – each silhouette shouted regal elegance. Every model looked like a queen coming down the runway!

I've told you who my favorites are now tell me yours! If you weren't able to catch any of the runway shows visit the
