The Hijabi Crop Top

Ive been dying to share this outfit with you all. Im trying out a new style that I haven't warn before and now I'm hooked! I was inspired by a lot of the crop tops I saw being warn over long sleeve tops not just by hijabi bloggers but non-Muslim mainstream bloggers as well. What made me do it was seeing this gorgeous over-the-shoulder lace scalloped top and not wanting to wait to wear it only for girl parties (if you're wondering, I purchased it months ago way before the #nonewclothes challenge ;0)

I paired it with a white long sleeve button up blouse that was accented really nicely with a black collar and black cuffs. I chose white because I knew the orange lace top would really stand out this way. You can also throw it over a long turtleneck - just be sure the fabrics don’t clash with one another.

I wore leather jeggings to add some edge to the elegance of the lace top. You can tell by now that elegance with hints of edge is my favorite style. And now for the shoes, I absolutely adore these pointy white block heels. They add instant sophistication to any outfit, and the style of the block heel allows you to walk long distances in them.

Hope you lovely ladies are encouraged to experiment more with your outfits. Don’t be afraid to take one of your favorite pieces that is stored away for special events/occasions by pairing them with something you least expect - trust me you won’t know until you try! This year’s theme is all about getting more use out of what you already have, so this will force you to get more creative with your outfits by thinking outside of the box. Share with me some of your ideas!
